Hello...Happy Friday! I happen to be off today which is not the norm,
so I am ready to do some stamping!

This weeks Sunday Stamps challenge is
Hip To Be Square.
I have never participated in this blog challenge before,
so I'm glad I found it and can play along.

Here I used the Butterfly Grace stamp set and
Graceful Butterflies die set from Verve. The card stock
and ink are Soft Sky from SU!

My first version of this sketch I did in a Fall theme.

Feel free to leave me a hello. I like hearing from you.
I am still working on getting the look I want for my blog

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

Hi again...this is my first entry in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge!  Although it doesn't feel like fall here in Florida, I'm in the Fall mood with all the warm colors, scents and pumpkin spice everything!

Usually I'm thinking fall colors when using this SU! leaf and framelit set.
With this card I leaned toward the neutrals. I really like the clean
uncluttered look and feel of this card.

All products used are from Stampin Up!
Including DSP and embellishments.

Thank for stopping by.

Card Club!

So excited for tonight...it's Card Club night! Love getting together with my sister's in the Lord who are also fellow stampers! We always have good fellowship and good food!

Here is my card exchange for tonight.  I know there are new fall stamp sets out there, but I still love this tried and true leaf set from Stampin' Up.

HAVE A GREAT DAY TODAY!

Playing Around...

Hi again. Still playing around with the new Verve release. This time I'm using Bloom Brighter.
Love it! I really like the pretty font used for the sentiments. I also  purchased the matching die set so no need to fussy cut. ; )

This design is simple and soft with the flowers and lighter tone inks.

I used the matching die set on this card.
Navy and crisp white make this card stand out.

Navy, white
 and silver

Cool Mornings

Good Morning!

After Hurricane Irma passed, we had a few cool mornings here in North Florida. This morning the humidity is back! I am thankful to God Almighty for his mercy and protection through the storm. We didn't sustain any damage, just debris and limbs scattered around the yard. Our power was restored very quickly...thank you CFEC!

With the sudden surprise of cool mornings, I was in the fall mood!  This card has been in the making for about a year! I had purchased something and after I brought it home I thought what a great idea for the front of a card!

Here was my inspiration from a year ago!

I thought the bottle was very pretty especially with the metallic gold.
I love the warm colors of fall and the scents of fall like pumkin, apple, and cinnamon!
Thanks for stopping in again. See you again soon.

Irma

Hello...we are very busy making preparations here in Florida for hurricane Irma. We are keeping an eye on the news and all of the updates as they come in. Hurricanes are not anything new in Florida, but they can be so unpredictable. I say be prepared. If the course changes, at least we were ready. Praying she will not even make landfall in the US, but head out into open water and dissipate. That's my prayer anyway. Please pray for Florida and the coastline of the US. Also for the Caribbean islands that took a battering from her.

I wanted to quickly share a card with you that I made for a friend expecting her first baby. She is having a boy and I thought this little guy would make a precious card.

The stamp set and punch are great! A very versatile set. You can create a warm woodland scene or like this card, soft and sweet. Thanks for stopping by...

Viva la Verve September!

I am so excited to participate in the Viva la Verve September challenge and be able to post it on my new blog! This blog stuff is all new to me. I am working out all the bugs and trying to figure things as I go so please be patient with this amateur. Below is the September sketch by the very talented Julee Tilman of Verve Stamps. Love me some Verve!

I made a card for a friend who needed an unknown sex of the baby card. So I thought I'd combine the occasion subject and this fun September sketch for the card. Here is what I came up with.

I used the brand new Verve stamp and die set called Little Ones. It has very sweet images including a little chick and rattles. But the sentiments are my favorite. Very versatile set.

Thanks for stopping by and checking things out. Hopefully I'll get the hang of this blog thing!
